This trip began at Brisbane airport where we left a crappy city on the crappiest day in a crap month full of crap memories. After changing flights and nearly not taking off we got away. Got past American customs. Wasn't expecting that to happen. Jumped in a cab to Venice beach, Santa Monica. That place is killer. Vagabonds, freakshows, streetball, beach parties , skating and the first sniff of the American dream. Team 'Straya' made a good start at the hostel, introducing beer wizards to the weak Americans and hopeless Euros. After beer wizards shit got real. Sneaked a touro ride in to the pier so we didnt feel obliged to do anything more. Street cruising past bums who lined the sreets was cool. The pier breathed pre-teens; more Aarons scene.
The American dream kicked off with our first binge at Mickey d's. The sole reason to most of americas obesity is the 99c menu. I personally have no obejections to having some baggage and ate the shit out of it. The arvo beer run was cut short for some streetball spectatorism (shutup). This nearly led to Noel and i feeling what its like to be robbed at gunpoint by a black gang. Naturally i wanted to stay and fight. Noel however suggested we run. The bad noise quickly turned to loose times. With the sun setting over the hive of activity that defines Venice we toasted the the two story portrait of Jim Morisson over the road and waited for the sun (sorry).
Ill put more up soon. Peace
Handball courts, silliest game to watch.
